Recent compositions menu for quick access to last opened compositions. Scale to Fit button for clip now cycles through 4 modes, first it will scale taking into account ratio and fill to the hight or the width, then it will just match the composition size and the fourth time it's back to default, this also works when multiple clips are selected. Ignore Column Trigger, prevents clip from being triggered when the column triggers are used. This is very handy for installations where Resolume needs to start playing clips automatically in combination with the Auto Pilot. You configure every layer to automatically start the first clip when the composition has loaded. Input can be done via ArtNet or an Enttec DMX USB Pro. It works similar to MIDI so it's very easy to configure. You can control Arena from a lighting desk using DMX. Lights, lasers, even fireworks! Just not the go-go dancers, but we're working on that. With SMPTE Timecode input you can run you clips in sync with anything you want. It can even wrap around the composition for 360 degrees seamless projection. With soft edging you can seamlessly project 1 widescreen image with 2 or more projectors. Your surfaces do not have to be rectangular anymore either, you can warp your video onto curved screens with the advanced bezier transformations. This is perfect for projection mapping on many surfaces. In the advanced output window you can now create as many slices from your composition and position and transform them to your liking. As long as your computer can recognise it as an output, Resolume will let you use it. From a simple screen behind the DJ in your local club to main stage at Ultra. The only limit is your computer's raw power and your imagination. Use as little or as many videos and effects as you like. Whatever your style is, Resolume offers you an easy interface to rock it. Mix and match your visuals quickly and easily and play Resolume like an instrument. Forwards, backwards, scratch and adjust tempo to the beat. You can play your videos when you want, how you want. Q: Can I MIDI Map my controller buttons/faders/knobs?Ī: You can map almost everything that sends MIDI signal information. You want to do projection mapping and hardcore video djing - Resolume Arena puts you in charge. Denon Stagelinq only sends track information and position Q: Why do you need Ableton LINK to be enabled ?Ī: To get the actual BPM and beat readout in Resolume. Just use rtpMIDI software rtpMIDI | Tobias Erichsen Q: Can I send MIDI from Windows Laptop to another Windows machine ?Ī: Yes you can. However, you still need network connectivity to obtain Denon DJ Stagelinq and Ableton Link information Q: Can I run Resolume on the same computer where my mixer (USB MIDI) is connected?Ī: Yes, in that case, you can skip the whole MIDI over the Network part. Just make sure you have a reliable low-latency WiFi connection Q: Can I connect my Resolume PC without wired Ethernet - over WiFi ?Ī: Yes, I tested that and it worked well without any issues. I would like to share my setup with connections and software, just in case someone would like to achieve something similar. To make it work, I created a MIDI network between my MBP and PC to send MIDI information from the DDJ-1000 over the network and MIDI map my DDJ-1000 faders to Resolume. In my studio setup, I have an old MBP 13 i5 running my SoundSwitch software, and my Resolume Arena is installed on a separate Windows PC with a powerful GPU. I decided to MIDI map my DDJ-1000 channel faders to Resolume layer opacity controls. However, I realized that I could perform a similar trick as I did in SoundSwitch. I saw player information in Arena, but I was sure that without a Denon mixer (x1800/x1850), I couldn’t achieve full integration because I lacked information about channel faders positions. I always wanted to experiment a bit with Resolume. I already used Soundswitch with my pair of SC 5000s and my non-Denon mixer (I have a Pioneer DDJ-1000 Controller that I use as a mixer and map channel faders in Soundswitch using DDJ-1000 MIDI). After spending some time with Denon products yesterday, I did something that I initially thought was not achievable
